Car Insurance Lincoln (Car Insurance). Whats a good suv to buy?Whats a good suv to buy? *sigh Ive spent almost a week now researching for the perfect suv and I still havent come to a conclusion My budget is $20000 but would like to spend around 16-17 if possible. I want a bit of luxury which also why my search isnt working so great. (for that price your not going to find too many) Reliability and Gas would be main priority. Then looks and everything else. A mid-size SUV is the ideal size. Not too big but not small ( a little bit more on the bigger size though) I live in GA I wont be taking many trips so a 7-8 passenger car is not really needed. but comfortability and power would should be ok (v6) I would like a suv with a mean look so that would be a plus but like i said its a secondary priority. So can you guys help me...? I wont do American Cars ......so keep that in mind Any information would be appreciated Ty try cars.com research SUV I like the toyotas mazda's my advice don't buy anything from the dealership if the tag says 16grand ur walking out 21G. so they are rip off's Toyota RAV4.It's reliable (compared to the competitors) and it offers nice features and quality.Off road capability is excellent and the cargo is pretty huge for it's size. The size is also ideal for urban use. A volkswagen touraeg i have one and absolutely love it, i got a 05 2 years ago for 18500 so thats about in your budget, the v8 eats gas but its got a lot of power but they do come in a v6 and a tdi version, ive had no problems with mine at all and i just his 90000 miles so id defiantly recommend test driving one Auto parts : Water Pump Spacer Acura 1995 . Lincoln . How to Change the Light Bulbs on a QX4Replacing the headlights on an Infiniti QX4 takes a few extra steps if you want the job to go smoothly. When replacing the passenger side bulb, remove the battery in order to gain easier access to the headlamp assembly. On the driver's side, disconnect the air box cleaner to free up work space for this task. No matter what side you are working on, disconnect the battery terminals before beginning this task. Replacement headlights for the QX4 can be purchased at auto parts retailers. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Infiniti QX4 replacement headlamp bulbs Socket wrenchPassenger-side headlight Step by Step : 1 Remove the disconnected battery from its housing to gain easier access to the passenger-side headlight assembly. Unscrew the round plastic cover located on the rear side of the headlight assembly. 2 Locate the metal wiring connector in the headlight assembly and gently turn it clockwise to give you acccess to the bulb. Remove the two metal braces holding the bulb in place. Take out the old bulb and place the new bulb in the socket. 3 Put the bulb braces, wiring connector and plastic cover back in place. Place the battery back in its housing. Reconnect the battery. Test the light before driving. Driver's side headlight Step by Step : 1 Disconnect the air box cleaner by removing the brackets holding it in place. This will free up work space when changing the driver's side headlight. Detach the round, black plastic cover on the rear of the headlight assembly by unscrewing it. 2 Identify the metal wiring connector in the headlight assembly and turn it clockwise to give you access to the bulb. Remove the two metal braces holding the bulb in place. Remove the old bulb and place the new bulb in the socket. 3 Put the bulb braces, wiring connector and plastic cover back in place. Lincoln . How to Fix a Tail LightVehicle taillights are needed items while driving at night for your safety and the safety of others. The taillight beam helps other drivers determine their distance from the rear of your car so they can brake in time and not cause a collision. The most common reasons for a faulty tail light are a burnt-out bulb, breaks in the wiring or corrosion in the bulb socket. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Phillips head screwdriver Wire cutters/strippers Electrical tape Battery cleaning tool, such as a terminal brush Tail light bulb Step by Step : 1 Insert a Phillips head screwdriver into the lens cover screws on the exterior or interior of the vehicle. Turn the screws counterclockwise to loosen and remove them. If there are no external screws visible on the lens cover, open the trunk to access the light bulb from the inside of the trunk. 2 Observe the tail light wiring for breaks in the wires. Repair broken wiring by cutting the wires with a wire cutter. Strip about three inches of the protective covering off each piece of wire. Twist the two pieces of wire together and tape with four revolutions of electrical tape to hold the splice in place. 3 Press the light bulb in and turn it a 1/2 revolution counterclockwise. Pull the bulb straight out of the taillight. Observe the bulb for a dark color inside indicating that it is faulty. 4 Clean the bulb socket to remove any corrosion or rust with a battery cleaning tool, such as a terminal brush. Place the pointed end of the terminal brush inside the socket and twist it in a circle. A terminal brush is stiff metal to brush and remove any foreign debris from the socket. 5 Press a new taillight bulb into the socket and turn it a 1/2 revolution clockwise to secure it. 6 Replace the interior or exterior screws and tighten them in a clockwise direction. Start the vehicle and turn the lights on to observe the taillight bulb function. Tips & Warnings If both taillights are faulty on a vehicle, check the taillight fuse in the fuse box. If the fuse element is broken or dark colored, replace the fuse. Twist wiring together tightly when splicing a taillight wire together so it makes a good connection. Corrosion and rust in a bulb socket do not allow the bulb to illuminate, as these substances are non-conductive. Replace taillight bulbs with the same voltage as the originals to avoid short circuits. *3. Jot down the proper part numbers given for your vehicle's points, condenser, distributor cap, and rotor on your Specifications Record. The points and condenser are sometimes packaged together as a tune-up kit. You may not need to replace the cap and rotor now, but the data will be handy when you do. Changing \four Spark Ptuqs How often you replace spark plugs depends on the type of plugs you have. You may have 30,000-mile plugs, or — if the plugs have platinum tips — they may be good for up to 100,000 miles. (For detailed information about what spark plugs do, see Chapter 5.) Finding your spark plugs Of course, before you can change your spark plugs, you have to find them. Look for a set of thick wires (or thin cables) that enter your engine block in neat rows — on both sides if you have a V-6 or V-8 engine, or on one side if you have a straight 4- or 6-cylinder engine (also called an in-line engine). These spark-plug wires run from the distributor (or ignition coil) to the spark plugs. O t O Part III: Keeping Your Car in Good Condition, System by System 497

Before you take care of your spark plugs, you must understand what the terms cylinder sequence and firing order mean. Cylinder sequence The cylinder sequence of an engine is the order in which the cylinders of the engine are numbered. This sequence varies from one type of vehicle to another, depending on whether it has front-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive and whether the vehicle has a "straight" (sometimes called "in-line") engine, a V-type engine, or a transverse engine. Here are cylinder sequences for all of these: In all U.S.-made straight 4- and 6-cylinder vehicles with rear-wheel drive, the cylinder nearest the front of the car is called the #1 cylinder. The numbering for the rest of the cylinders (#2, #3, #4, and so on) runs in sequence back toward the firewall at the rear of the engine compartment (see Figures 12-2 and 12-3). Some foreign-built cars reverse the cylinder sequence. The #1 cylinder is at the rear, near the firewall. If you have a foreign car and no owner's manual, ask your local dealer where your #1 cylinder is. Cylinder sequence Lincoln . When was the union pacific railroad completed?
